Tyler Moore graduated summa cum laude from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1981. He received his undergraduate degree with distinction from Virginia Polytechnic University and State University in 1977. Mr. Moore was a contributing member of the Washington and Lee Law Review and is a member of the Order of the Coif. Tyler served as Accountant, then Financial Analyst for Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas, before going to law school. After law school, he was an associate with a regional business law firm, then co-founded a boutique litigation law firm where he was managing partner for a dozen years. Tyler serves as General Counsel to several regional healthcare and real estate companies. Tyler is a member of the Virginia State Bar, is licensed to practice law in the State of Virginia, as well as to appear in federal and Virginia state courts. Tyler is a member of the American Bar Association, the Business Law Section and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, as well as the Virginia Bar Association, the Business Law Section. Tyler is Secretary and Treasurer of the University of Science and Philosophy, and is a member of its Board of Directors. He has served as Chairman of the Endowment Committee of his local church, Cave Spring Baptist Church and has held many committee positions, including Finance Committee and the Benevolent Committee.
